As leaders in the mentoring field for over 22 years, we have developed certification
programs available through our sister company, MentoringUniversity.com.
Currently, we offer the following certifications, most of which are "on-site" courses
and training:
Mentoring Program Manager Certification (MPM)
This certification is for those employees within an organization who are charged
with the responsibility of creating, implementing, and managing one or more mentoring
programs. It generally involves approximately 100 contact hours with Management
Mentors, Inc. and covers all the Best Practices components that have been demonstrated
as critical to creating effective programs.

Group Mentoring Program Manager Certification (GMPM)

managing and training group mentors and mentorees. It generally involves approximately
100 contact hours during the course of a group-mentoring program involving 5 group
mentors and 25 mentorees.
Mentoring Trainer Certification (MT)
This certification is for those employees whose role is to conduct training for
mentors and mentorees engaged in a one-on-one relationship. It generally involves
16 contact hours during a two-day period.
Executive Mentor Certification (EM)
This certification is for the presidents and vice presidents of companies who are
engaged in mentoring at the highest levels. It involves at least 8 hours of workshop
time: 4 hours with peers and an additional 4 hours with their partner. In addition,
there can be several sessions with the Management Mentors, Inc. consultant for feedback
and guidance in the relationship.
Professional Mentor Certification (PM)
This certification is for mentors who complete our Training In Mentoring Relationships
workshop and are engaged in a mentoring relationship for up to one year. It generally
involves 11 contact hours: 4 hours in the workshop with other mentors with an additional
4 hours with their partner and other pairs. In addition, there are usually three
quarterly sessions of up to one hour each.
MentGuide Trainer Certification (MGT)
This certification is for those employees whose role is to assist a company’s employees
in finding a mentor on their own, separate from existing mentoring programs, if
any, within the company. Using our workbook as a guide within the classroom setting
-- and also through Mentor-Quest -- the MMentGuide Trainer is able to work with
a small group of employees in mapping out a strategy to identify and obtain a mentor.
The certification generally involves 10-15 contact hours over the course of 6 months.
